Carlos Mancilla, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician with specialized expertise in metabolic health and chronic disease prevention. His background in emergency medicine sharpened his clinical judgment and decision-making in high-acuity, fast-paced environments. Dr. Mancilla uses nutrition and lifestyle-based therapies including carbohydrate reduction and intermittent fasting to treat conditions like obesity, insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, metabolic syndrome, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and mental health disorders. He also performs outpatient procedures such as laceration repair, abscess drainage and cyst excision, and uses point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) to enhance diagnostics and procedures.
